The raisin syrup brings a rich flavour that hints at the characteristics of an aged rum. We don’t think there can be a more iconic partnership than rum and raisin.
- 50ml Pure Golden Rum
- 10ml raisin syrup
- A dash of Angostura orange bitters
- Orange peel twist
- Ice cubes / large ice block
Combine all of the ingredients except the orange peel in a chilled mixing glass, add ice cubes and stir. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass filled with ice cubes or an ice block.
Twist the orange peel over the glass to release the aromatic oils. Tuck the peel into the drink.
If you like it a little sweeter, increase the syrup to 12.5ml.
